Q. What is Muay Thai?
A. Muay Thai (known to those outside of Thailand as Thai-Boxing) is a national sport of Thailand as well as a national passion. It is a fighting technique born out of combat reality. Known as the science of eight limbs, Muay Thai uses the knees and elbows as well as kicks, punches and grappling. Almost any part of the body is considered a fair target and any part of the body, except the head, may be used to strike an opponent. It is considered by many to be the ultimate in hand-to-hand fighting. It is a martial art that has been passed down through generations for the last 2000 years.
Q. Who can learn Muay Thai?
A. Muay Thai is a form of unarmed combat accessible to all people everywhere, children and adults, male and female. Muay Thai is taught as a professional and amateur sport, a martial art, fitness programme and as a useful form of self-defence. Not everyone training in the art of Muay Thai wishes to compete. Nowadays people from all walks of life are turning to Muay Thai for many different reasons.
Q. Why learn Muay Thai?
A. On a Physical level Muay Thai training helps to build stamina, tone muscles, lose weight, gain strength and become more flexible. It will also help boost your immune system and lead you towards living a healthier lifestyle, which is vital in today's society.
On a Mental level Muay Thai will boost your confidence, self-esteem, improve your self-discipline and awareness skills. You will also gain quicker hand to eye coordination.

Club Etiquette:
Q. What should I wear?
A. Beginners wear loose clothing, often a t-shirt and shorts or three quarter length trousers. After one month of training it is compulsory that students purchase our club uniform comprising of Muay Thai shorts and t-shirt with club logo priced at £35.00.
Q. What other equipment do I need to purchase?
A. Various types of equipment are compulsory and can be purchased from your instructor.
